Intimate Wedding Ceremony Under the Redwoods at Loma Vista Gardens in Big Sur

Elizabeth and James said “I Do” on a sunny day in the hills of Big Sur. Surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated their love with an intimate ceremony on The Plateau under the redwood tree here at Loma Vista Gardens.

The bride looked effortless, wearing a three-quarter sleeve flowy dress that playfully swayed in Big Sur’s fresh, mountain air. James was rocking a very dapper navy, plaid suit with a dazzling smile to go along with it. The couple did a sweet “first-look” at their getting ready location before heading over to Loma Vista Gardens. They then enjoyed our welcome lawn, located on the "Nest Level", where they did some pre-ceremony mingling with their guests, letting the excitement of the day build.

The guests were seated and watched as E + J said their vows under the looming beauty of the redwood tree. An emotional and love-filled atmosphere created by E + J’s heartfelt vows was captured perfectly by their photographer Melissa Ergo. Riding that post-ceremony high, Elizabeth and James headed through the winding trails located on our property to capture some beautiful couple’s portraits. Their love for eachother is truly palpable in these photos with the way they look at each other!

As the sun set below the hills, the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour along with a delicious and colorful display of appetizers. Dinner was held on our Gravel Courtyard, which is the lowest terrace of the gardens. Here, the newlyweds shared a meal with their guests and enjoyed the vast views of the gorgeous hills across the way. With blankets in tow, E + J illuminated the dance floor with their stellar moves and danced the night away with their friends and family.

Elizabeth and James’s wedding in Big Sur was a gorgeous celebration of love and Loma Vista Gardens was honored to be a part of this special day. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
