Katelyn and Matt’s Bohemian Big Sur Wedding at Loma Vista Gardens

Vintage rugs, lavender details and the wonderful great outdoors - there’s nothing more magical than Katelyn and Matt’s Bohemian Big Sur Wedding at Loma Vista Gardens. Embracing the beauty of California redwood, this vintage chic wedding and all of its beauty was captured perfectly by The DeLauras.

From the photographers, The DeLauras: “These two also have a deep rooted connection with Big Sur. They both have very fond memories here, which makes this location super special to them. Matt and his family have been doing annual Big Sur camping trips at Pfeiffer State Park his whole entire life! Katelyn and Matt absolutely love Big Sur and visit every chance they can get. Memories and traditions such as eating at Nepenthe, visiting Pfeiffer Beach, tubing down the Big Sur river, and hiking through Andrew Molera have brought these two closer in so many ways. It makes total sense as to why there would be no other place in the world that they would want to get married in other than Big Sur.”

For the ceremony the couple chose our Upper Terrace area which is one of our largest areas and faces West towards the stunning valley. The couple lined the aisle down with vintage rugs and flanked the altar area with two beautiful flower arrangements by Seascape Flowers in shades of reds, pinks and greens.

With vast views of the gorgeous hills across the way, Gravel Courtyard was the perfect spot to share a meal by Fire On Wheels as the sun sets for these newlyweds. Each table was adorned with florets and pretty colored glassware. Lavender details filled the reception area creating a romantic and whimsical theme. DJ Sick James and live music from Alex Lucero kept the crowd in a party mood. Let’s not forget Spirits and Nature serving up the best cocktails as well. Edith Meyter Wedding Cake finished off this wedding with the most delicious and scrumptious four tier cake ever. Lavender blooms adorned the different tiers transforming the cake to a masterpiece itself.

This was a celebration of love and everything that these two love. The photo featuring a quiet moment of the couple in our nest is truly our favorite.
